The chain coupling is simple in design but very efficient in distributing torque from one shaft to another. It also allows for certain degrees of misalignment as the sprockets have clearance. The coupling is enclosed in an aluminium casing which enhances safety. The torque ratings for chain couplings are higher than other rubber element supported flexible couplings.
